Hello
Hello there! My name is Andrew but I also go by Aze. I'm a queer UX designer based in Las Vegas, NV. I come from an artistic and education background as a former music teacher and band director. I believe that inclusive design and accessibility to educational information and technologies will be even more important as the world continues to develop. I hope to be a voice for those communities and use my own story and perspectives to help solve the problems of people across the globe.

When I am not working on design project, you can find me spending time reading fantasy novels at a local coffee shop, playing and creating content around my favorite video games, cuddling with my two cats, or staring up at the night stars. While jumping head first into a world of magic and fantasy is always fun, I spend equal time teaching myself new computer programs and learning about the world by watching educational content on Youtube. I love to learn about how the science behind cooking and baking, the beginnings of the universe (cosmology), and astrophysics.
My Design Journey
Large portions of my career have been spent working on design projects. During my teaching career, I designed the website for my high school band to allow parents and students quick and easy access to important handbook information, calendar updates, homework submissions, and documentation. I also had the pleasure of creating numerous t-shirt designs to correlate with the marching band show themes along with brand new marching band uniforms with the help of professional uniform designers. That was a beautiful experience and the students were absolutely thrilled to see the visions come to life.

Beyond my teaching career, I create many design for my own personal passion projects. I love filming and editing Youtube videos about my favorite video games (Genshin Impact at the current moment). Learning all the new design programs has allowed me the ability to design impressive thumbnails, animated text overlays, and create an overall better product. These new skills allow me to focus on designing more insightful and educational video concepts.

I look forward to seeing where my design journey leads. I hope to be able to step into the field and bring forth a different viewpoint and understanding of structures/architecture to help create better user experiences for the ever growing diverse world.
